Stunning scenery based tour and an opportunity to search for Nessie, legendary monster of the deep dark water of Loch Ness. This is the longest day tour that we offer and the furthest we travel in one day but very worthwhile. The scenery is dramatic and stunning.  Our default route from Dundee or St Andrews initially takes us through beautiful farmland in the county of Angus before entering Big Tree country in the heart of Scotland. There you will have opportunity to stretch your legs with a short walk in the forest to lovely waterfalls before we continue onwards through the highland town of Pitlochry and deep into the Cairngorm Mountains and National Park. We pass through the Highland Capital of Inverness and arrive Loch Ness just after mid-day. The main attraction of the day is a visit to the ruins of Urquhart Castle located on the banks of Loch Ness or a cruise on Loch Ness (dependent on times of cruises which must be pre-booked).  We can however visit alternative attractions such as Culloden Battlefield and pre-historic standing stones etc. You decide! After some lunch we continue South through the Great Glen and the scenery just keeps getting better! We visit Fort Augustus, Fort William, Glencoe and Rannoch Mhor etc! A very very long day but a truly sensational and fascinating journey!
