We depart the Port of Greenock and start this tour with an interesting drive through the City of Glasgow highlighting some of the main attractions in the City on route to Stirling (ancient Capital of Scotland) where you have photo opportunity at the Castle. We then continue to visit Doune Castle, a magnificent 14th Century home of the 1st Duke of Albany and recently main scene for the Outlander TV series and cult movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail. After exploring Doune Castle we head to the highland town of Callander stopping for a lunch break before heading into the Trossachs National Park. Next stop is Lake of Menteith where we board a shuttle boat to take us across to a small island to visit the tranquil ruins of Inchmaholme Priory. Alternatively we can stop at a Distillery for a tour and a dram (Please note Lake of Menteith or Distillery stop is normally only possible if we visit Doune Castle. You are welcome to stop and visit Stirling Castle but this attraction requires at least 2 hours for a good visit and therefore limits time available for other attractions) However, itinerary can be adjusted to suit your interests (e.g scenery versus attractions etc)!
