This privacy statement sets out how Strachan Tours use and protect your personal data.


Strachan Tours is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should you provide us with any information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Strachan Tours may change this policy from time to time by updating this page.

The information we may collect is as follows;
• names and addresses
• essential contact information including email address and telephone numbers
• other relevant information that may enable us to process and administer an enquiry and/or booking
• occasional photographic images captured while on tour/during period of the contract   

What we do with the information we gather
We may use your personal data for the purposes of; making a reservation/booking with us, obtaining ancillary services in connection with a reservation/booking such as accommodation, golf courses, event service providers and/or sub-contracted services and we may share that personal data with the relevant ancillary service providers.  However, we will not share any sensitive financial information that you give us such as credit or debit card details and we will not retain sensitive financial information for longer than the term of the contract.  We may however retain all correspondence between us and may transmit such data provided by you to personnel directly within our responsibility. 

Please be assured we shall not sell, trade or rent your personal data to any third party unless required so by law.   We may use your name, email address and basic contact details to inform you of changes in our services or features that we think you may find interesting.  We may also use any photographic images captured while on tour for marketing activities,  publication on our website and/or our social media sites but if those images may contain personal data which could identify you then we shall endeavour to seek your consent prior to publication unless the images were captured/shared by you.

Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect and store.  Please also note; We shall regard email messages and SMS text messages as insecure and we shall not be liable to you or any other party for any loss or damage incurred by you in connection with any data transmitted by email or SMS text messaging.

Cookies
When we provide services, we want to make them useful, reliable and easy to use.  Where services are delivered on the internet, this sometimes involves placing small amounts of information on your device, for example, computer or mobile phone.
